The assessment at Gloucester House, in general, takes approximately one hour. In that time a client will be clinically assessed by our referrals manager, have a guided tour around the centre, and get the opportunity to meet any staff and other clients that are available.
Gloucester House is aware that attending an assessment can be an anxious experience for people, and therefore our staff team ensure clients and families are met with friendliness, support and understanding to ease the process. It is a two way process and clients are assessing our service, as much as we are assessing clients suitability for the programme, so clients and their families are free to ask as many questions as required.
At the assessment referring clients will be asked to sign a disclosure consent form so the referrals manager can carry out a risk assessment. This will involve obtaining medical information, any mental health reports and criminal justice history to enable our team to offer the best support package and work effectively with referring agencies. All information obtained will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
