On arrival to Gloucester House clients will be greeted by staff and receive a thorough induction. A peer is also assigned to act as a “buddy” for the first few weeks following admission.

As we are aware clients coming into treatment can be vulnerable to experiencing cravings and temptations, therefore we have to balance the need for client independence and choice with client safety. Therefore some restrictions apply, which include clients not being allowed off the centre unaccompanied for the first two weeks.

However leave and visitors policies will be explained to clients further on arrival and clients are welcome to raise and discuss any concerns they have with staff at this point.
